Lug Life

Daylight savings wants us to Spring forward! That's just what we did today! Great weather here in Wisconsin so why not start trying on great new sandals, in particular ones with an awesome lug sole!
We know the lug look may be intimidating or weird to some of you, but what do you have to lose!? Its trendy, funky and you will always feel light at heart while wearing a lug soled sandal. Below are some of the lug sandals we have gotten in so far this Spring!

This awesome white chunky lug sandal is from All Black, also available in Black This is the most formal of the new lug sandals we have gotten in but it will surely give your outfit an edgy twist.
The Lugg Wrap will provide you comfort and style this summer!

Lug look number two is brought to you by SixtySeven. This style gives off a more casual vibe with its cork foot bed. The lug sole on the Neva featured above also is not as aggressive as the All Black sandal but is a good way to get yourself into the lug game. This is another fun and functional sandal that will go great with your everyday attire. Also available in Silver and White!

Our last lug look is from United Nude. This is a style we have not seen from this brand. We normally get in awesome heels from them but we are happy to see a change in the line up. This final look is definitely the most casual of the three, and has the smallest amount of lug. As you can see from the photo about, don't let this littler slider fool you! You can wear them with more than your Sunday sweats. Slip them on with some denim and a graphic tee and you will have an edgy and effortless look this summer. The Lo Res Earth slide is also available in Black.
Thanks for Reading! Keep up with all of our new Spring and Summer arrivals on our website!

Feelin' Fab in Fall!

Fall is all about great accessories and even better shoes! Yesterday at (shoo) Madison it was a picture perfect Fall day, sunny, 60 degrees, and leaves changing everywhere. This weather calls for some vintage inspirited dressing! Ella is wearing a Mata Traders  dress paired with some of our favorite Fall accessories that are all available at our store! To add to the dress's vintage feel. We paired it with Bed Stu's Lita Oxford. Bed Stu is known for their distressed look and handcrafted comfort. We have this brand available at (shoo) for both women and men. So what are you waiting for?! Come visit us at (shoo) and check out our amazing collection of Fall shoes, clothes and accessories!

We also accessorized this look with a spiked Mikinora ring and Kerry Huth earrings. Both of these Madison based artist's pieces are available at (shoo).

Free Bird

When we were looking at boots to add to our fall boot selection here at (shoo) we came across this distressed beauty from Freebird.  The Bama makes it easy to transition from summer to fall, its red leather is unique and a great way to spice up your wardrobe without trying too hard.  The great thing about the Bama is that it will look great with any look from a simple denim and button down top to a complete rock and roll look like the one we styled today!  We chose this cool Bon Jovi tank top that our vintage and resale Guru Fashion Farmboy found for our clothing selection in our lower gallery. Styled with a vintage pencil skirt and layered it with a light wash denim vest. At (shoo) we are all about promoting our local artist such as our very own Lacey,
who made the sterling silver rings she wears here. We are widely known for our large selection of TOMS shoes that we carry in our stores, but what a lot of people may not know is we also carry TOMS sunglasses!! This also works in the same One for One model, with each pair purchased TOMS
will help restore sight for a person in need. Anna Theissen is another of our talented local artists who we show case here at (shoo), she made the leather and silver necklace we styled for this look. We also carry a ton of jewelry from The Birds and the Beads here at (shoo) such as the beaded bracelets seen on Lacey! If you are a vegan leather lover, here is the perfect bag for you by Melie Bianco.

The New Black

The "little black dress" is a must have in any woman's closet. Not only is it famous for its slimming tricks, but it is an easy article to throw on for a smooth transition from day-to-night.  This silky dress from Ann Taylor is one of the fabulous finds from Fashion Farm Boy, its silky cut flows with each step you take.  This time we stirred away from the usual black and white mix and decided to take a risk styling these multicolored slip on booties from United Nude.  It felt like love at first sight!
All the colors stand out beautifully against the black fabric, lending an almost tribal feel. These booties are the perfect height from walking all day to dancing all night!  A beaded necklace adds a nice pop of color and texture.  This particular necklace is made by Gypsy Adornment, one of the many local artists we carry here at (shoo). These are handmade one of a kind gifts for any occasion.  Laura Waldenbach from Pointelle Design is another one of our local artist who made the colorful beaded bracelets we used for this look, she is also gifted with making intricate knitting goods that will be ideal in the coming fall! This look is topped off with a fine leather bag from Pietra Alessandra, this rich color makes all the difference. Stop into (shoo) today to get this entire look before its gone!

Wow guys, we just received some Trippen shoes for spring and they are AWESOME. We snapped a few pictures of Libby modeling the Magnolia, the Leaf in stone, and the Well. For you Trippen fans out there, these are must-have items for your collection. For those of you who have never tried Trippens before, this brand is known for its funky, architectural shapes, hand-tooled leather, and unbelievable comfort. Let us know what you think! Enjoy!

Libby wears the Well by Trippen. Made from fire engine red leather, this strappy sandal has a low wedge, a small metal clasp, and a closed heel for extra comfort. This shoe also has the signature Trippen "cross" shaped rubber sole. So adorable.

Trippen shoes are made in Germany by master craftsmen.

Well by Trippen

Libby is seen here wearing the Magnolia style. This is a whimsical demi-sandal made for spring! We love that the modified flat isn't completely bare, so it definitely safe for more formal wear. This shoe features an ankle strap with an adjustable metal clasp, and leather detailing at the toe. Very cute.

Magnolia by Trippen

Libby is seen here wearing the Leaf in stone. This modified flat is open enough to be worn in warm weather without being too dressed down. We love the thick ankle strap and leaf-shaped cutaway center. The sole is made from molded rubber in the traditional Trippen "cross" shape.
