With the holidays right around the corner, we know that shopping can get a little stressful. Luckily, (shoo) carries a variety of items in all price ranges, so you're bound to find something perfect! Hey guys! We just got in some really interesting pieces by Milwaukee brand (h(om)e). You might recognize the name from their awesome wallet and purse lines, but they've now expanded into clothing! We were lucky enough to grab some blouses and dresses in a number of colors and designs. Each handmade piece is designed to be worn several ways (and special clips to pin them are included), so not only are you wearing a completely unique item, but you can also switch it up and wear it however you want. Here at (shoo) we love the idea of getting extra miles out of something fabulous.

TRIPPEN POST!

Easily one of the the most unique brands featured at (shoo), Trippen offers an architectural take on fall and winter shoes. Libby and Maya model some of our choice picks this season that feature organic shapes, soft leathers, and interesting textures. The boots and booties featured below are handcrafted in Germany.

Libby (left) wears the Trippen Tweed, and Maya wears the Trippen Flair.

The Trippen Tweed (left) ankle bootie features unique black woven netting over the top of the shoe, and a raised rubber sole for lift and comfort. The Flair (right) has an asymmetrical fold over the shoe to lengthen the leg, and a side zipper for easy off-and-on.

Libby wears the Trippen River boot in black leather. This mid-calf boot is accented with raw seams, loose leather at the top, a thick structured sole, and a side zipper.

Above, Libby wears the Trippen Wind. A nice accompaniment to the River, this mid-calf shoe is made of soft, mottled gray leather and features diagonal raw seams up the shaft of the boot. Sophisticated with a bit of fun, the Wind is the perfect boot for those looking for something different this season.

Tough Girl Boots!

One of our favorite trends this fall is grunge revival, and we have the perfect boots to put together your look! Think structured military boots, distressed leather, and edgy colors (not to mention oversized flannel and denim). Maya and Libby get into the groove by rocking a few looks by Vintage and Sixty Seven.

Maya is kicking butt and taking names in the 17150 by Sixty Seven, and a men's vintage plaid flannel, both available at (shoo).

This military-style boot by Sixty Seven has two-tone leather panels and inner and outer lacing along the front of the shoe. A one-inch heel adds a nice lift, and an inner zipper allows for easy on-and-off. These are a must-have for this season, so get them at (shoo) before we run out!

Libby channels her inner Courtney Love by wearing Minden boots by Vintage, oversized vintage sunnies, a bike tire cuff by Becky Tesch, and a men's vintage plaid flannel, all from (shoo).

This Vintage boot was made for the bold of heart! The textured outer is made of mottled red leather, and gold and black specks peek through to create a multi-colored look. Brass eyelets and waxy black laces add fun details to the boot. A thick sole and padding around the upper add comfort and support.

Maya smells like teen spirit in her 17689's by Sixty Seven, and an oversized men's vintage denim button-down shirt, both available at (shoo).

These Sixty Sevens are a funky update on the classic "Timberland style" hiking boot of the 90's! This boot is made in Spain of blond leather and features a wooly ankle cuff, and raised piping along the front of the shoe. The entire look wouldn't be complete without the bright metal shoelace brackets. A stacked brown heel adds a flirty touch to the structured shoe.

NEW FALL HEELS!

We just received new looks from Seychelles, Hispanitas, and Corso Como for all you (shoo) lovers! Resident (shoo) cuties Amanda, Libby, and Maya are modeling killer heels for fall and winter. Check them out below and click on the links to see the shoes on our website.

Amanda is wearing the Backspace style by Seychelles. Good for the office, or for after hours, the Backspace is a neutral that will work with dark or light colors. Amanda dresses up her heels with a patterned sundress, but don't be afraid to wear them with tough jeans or leggings.

Made of bone-colored leather, the Backspace features a thick cross strap in front, giving it a sassy, asymmetrical look. A chunky heel adds support, so you'll be strutting around in style and comfort.

Libby pairs her Dolley Seychelles with a maroon vintage dress and crocodile-print clutch to create a sexy secretary look. All items are available at (shoo)! Don't be afraid to add a pop of color to the typical reds and browns of the season.

The Dolley has pleated detailing around the ankle and toe giving it a vintage feel. The teal color is offset by forest green cross-over straps in front.

Here Maya is seen wearing the Dakar by Corso Como. A modern twist on a vintage 1940's style, the Dakar is sophisticated without looking dated. This shoe is wearable day or night.

Made in Brazil of natural leather, the Dakar has a two-tone (black and grey) style. Brogueing around the ankle and along the edge of an inner cutout adds unique detailing. the spiky, 3.5 inch heel will bring out your inner diva.

Maya is rocking another cute look for fall - booties with tough detailing. The Hispanitas hi14711 are made of black Spanish leather, and couldn't be sassier. If you want to go super edgy, wear them with dark jeans. For a softer look, pair them with a feminine blouses or skirts. Maya also wears a black Big Buddha cross-over bag to match her Hispanitas!

These Hispanitas pumps offer full coverage over the front of the foot, without loosing any of its sultry appeal. Lacing, brushed gold bracket detailing, and stitched piping add unique touches.

It maybe raining outside but inside Shoo we are celebrating sunny days ahead with our newest styles by TOMS. The six new shades of espadrilles are begging for a walk in the summer sun. As you can see we also received some more classic styles in basic and limited edition prints.

Maria is all smiles posed in the glam Glitter Tom flats which we also have in black. We have noticed that these Toms complement a healthy summer glow, so get ready to shine.

Libby is ready to add height this summer with the Tom wedges, these wedges add some height while remaining comfortable! These wedges are an easy way to spice up your daytime wardrobe.

This limited edition nautical stripe comes in both navy and red. It is a fun pop of color that would add excitement to any outfit.

Anything but Ordinary Neutrals

Our last few posts have been all about colorful summer sandals and heels. We love bright pops of color for your feet but don't forget that your shoes can make a statement without having to be brightly colored. Our wide selection of neutral shoes go with anything and allows you to add color with accessories or clothing. We've paired some of our favorite neutrals with different pieces from the store to show you just a few of the endless possibilites!
Check out Jen styling in Neosens Gobi Arona s422. The grey and blue tones of her outfit are great compliments. A chunky beaded necklace and metallic clutch add some glam to her ensemble. The Ibeza wristlet is just one of several different h(om)e bags which are handmade by a Milwaukee-based artist out of recycled upholstery leathers.
These beautiful strappy sandals are as much of a statement as you could ask for! Made from a sharkskin grey leather, straps of various shades and textures overlap and encompass your foot while the 4 inch wooden heel provides the perfect amount of height. We had ours done today at Aveda--even Jen's toenails are coordinated!
Above, Maria is wearing one of our favorite new wedges! Dottie is an adorable four inch wedge heel by Jeffrey Campbell featuring a chic contrast of cream and dove-grey leathers. We've paired this neutral toned shoe with one of our brightly colored Pietro Alessandro bags and a delicate gold pendant necklace by designer Miki Nora.
Small cutout dots of the cream leather peek out against the grey and line the top of the shoe. The wedge narrows at the bottom for a delicate look, and the mary jane strap secures snugly over your arch.
Jen, (above) rocks the Cutout Fish shoe by All Black and a whimsical summer dress picked from our eclectic selection of vintage clothing. The dress is such a bold statement, we've paired it with a more sedate shoe and a cute, conservative handbag by Big Buddha. Misionc, like all our Big Buddha bags, is made from 100% vegan materials.
Beauty is in the details with this cute heel (pictured above). Embossed scales adorn the matte black leather and a peep toe and lace-like cutouts make this shoe unique. The mary jane strap buckles securely and the small, curved heel reflects the shape of the scales.
Maria models Biviel style number bv2919, which we paired with all handmade clothing and accessories! A light, summery dress from our store, an original necklace from Lulu's Petals, and a handcrafted wristlet from h(om)e all add visual interest and texture for a chic style.
We know how tough it can be to find footwear that is both comfortable and stylish. That's why we love this leather and wood sandal. Sweet Treats for your Feet! New Dolce Vitas!

It's no surprise that our Dolce Vita shoes have been a big hit this spring! With Pali and Marci flying off our shelves, we've added two new styles in four new colors for you to enjoy! Below, Maria wears Nyle in white leather. This neutral sandal features Native American inspired mettalic beading and a stylish criss cross design. No need to waste time on difficult buckles or laces-you can easily slip in and out of this chic sandal!

Here's Nyle in natural leather. We can't decide which one we like better! Jen rocks the blue, orange, black and white beading which lines the brown leather straps. We love that the colors of this sandal remind us of a poisonous snake while the beads make it delicate and feminine. Like the mettalic version, the sole is a solid piece of leather with a very tiny kitten heel.

Stay chic while you're on-the-go this summer! This knotted thong sandal (shown below) is perfect for your busy schedule. There's always something exciting happening at (shoo)! Some of our newest additions include bright summer heels from Poetic Licence and Jeffery Campbell as well as a trio of fun Bass saddle shoes designed by Rachel Antonoff. Pictured below, Maria is wearing Exclusive Delight by Poetic Licence. These fierce and flirty t-strap sandals boast a four inch heel and are topped with a luscious grey flower made out of shimmery fabric. Perfect for a summer night on the town, Exclusive Delight is just that!

Below, Maria models our newest sandals by Jeffery Campbell. Dime is a mustard colored summer sandal with a delicate heel and scalloped lines that give it a feminine, vintage look. Not only are these shoes adorable to look at, but they feature padded soles which feel great on your feet!

Below we have Jen wearing Matilda Red by Bass. Inspired by New York based designer Rachel Antonoff, Matilda is a fun new twist on the traditional saddle shoe. Small pink blossom patterns are sprinkled against the beige background and add a whimsical, girly flair to this classic design.

Summertime is just around the corner and (shoo) has everything you need to take your style to a place its never been before! From flirty and chic to funky and bold, come in and see our fabulous new summer shoes!

Speaking of flirty and chic, we adore this Shirley Temple wedge sandal by Poetic Licence. We love the retro look and the ankle strap which snaps instead of buckles. The vintage pattern and yellow berry ornaments make this shoe irresistibly ditsy and dainty.

Miss L-Fire is a hot brand this summer. Ukulele is one of our favorites for obvious reasons!

You'll fall in love with these sweet turquoise heeled sandals as soon as you try them on. The woven heel and berry accents on the toe make these the perfect picnic shoe.

Just when you thought our shoes couldn't get any cuter, here is Miss L-Fire again with Hilo! Nothing says summer more than daisies and sunshine, so this shoe is definitely a must-have!

Winning Wedges

(shoo)'s most recent shipment of Antelope wedges are sure to bring some smiles as we roll into the spring and summer months. These new sandals mix tan canvas and stacked leather for the platform heels and variety of beautifully toned leathers for the uppers (pewter/gray-antelope 985,sea blue-antelope 913, green-antelope 819, and black-antelope 827) making these a chic option to show off those tootsies. The combination of the platform and adjustable slingback straps add comfort and ease for all of your warm weather activities!

Below the antelope 819 pairs rich green leather straps and a canvas covered platform, which would look great with a flowy printed dress.

Martina has styled the antelope 827 with a long black & white sweater, leggings, and bracelet made of recycled bike tires (*Also sold at (shoo) and can be worn as a necklace)

This week, we put the men to work modelling these vintage worker boot- inspired shoes.

The popular TV show Mad Men has taken viewers back to the 1960's advertising world in New York. The (shoo) world has been influenced by the show's aesthetic. AMC describes the series as, " sexy, stylized, and provacative," and our latest arrivals are just that!

Above, Pat channels his inner Don Draper wearing these throw-back oxfords. John Fluevog CBC is a classic brown leather oxford, but the aqua laces give these shoes a modern twist that will surely turn heads at the office or while walking down State Street.

All of these fun socks are made in Turkey by a family lead factory. Happy socks are the epitome of comfort and quality, every step in the making of these socks are for both. Through the way the cotton is combed before spun into thread making sure only the stronger and comfier fibers stay, to the computerized machines making sure the pattern is woven to a tee, to the hand sewn seam at the toe making sure there is no overlap and bulge.

The Victorian Era

If you were here when we opened the shipment from Neosens earlier today, you would have thought we had traveled back in time! The indulgent and luxurious new shoes from Neosens have 18th and 19th century influences while maintaining a contemporary feel.

First is Syrah 205, a gorgeous bootie that plays with textures. This is a brown bootie with a beautiful and intricate black brocade pattern on the leather. The bootie is detailed with brown velvet trim and a sheer brown ribbon in the back.

Next is the appropriately named Rococo 766. All the shoes in Neosen's Rococo line are clearly influenced by French Rococo- an 18th century art movement characterised by lavish ornamentation. This black bootie again features an intricate brocade pattern stamped across the body of the built-in spat.

Rococo 742 is a brown mary-jane shoe. The leather is embossed with a snake skin pattern and the curving silhouette of the shoe and heel fits perfectly within the Rococo style of undulating organic shapes.

Next we have Syrah 204, a syrah red wine colored mary-jane. The leather has a beautiful honeycomb texture. The strap across the vamp has a velcro closure that makes this shoe easy to put on and take off your foot.

Finally, we have the piece de resistance! Rococo 799 is the ultimate in Victorian styling! The leather boot has a glorious brocade pattern all the way up the body of the shoe and silver buttons up the center. Don't worry about having to button yourself in everytime you wear these though- the buttons are simply decoration as there is a side zip to make getting them on very easy!

Our latest shipment of fall shoes at (shoo) came full of beautiful works of art for your feet. These gorgeous and unique shoes from Art feature fun and artistic patterns and colors to brighten even the gloomiest fall day.

First from Art is New York 891. This ultra chic shoe has an urban feel with its brown mary-jane style base and forest green attached spat with brown trim detail. The shoe zips up on the side for easy on and off and the rubber platform and heel with keep you planted firmly on the ground.
Next is Tate 706, a purple leather bootie. This isn't your average purple shoe though, this one is inspired by the digital age and features a pixelated pattern on the body of the shoe.

Continuing the urban chic feel is New York 890, a violet pump with a navy blue y-strap. The shoe gracefully combines a mary-jane body with a chunky rubber heel.

Finally we have the show-stopper of the set: Tate 702. This red and black plaid boot is a real head-turner. It features a chunky heel, side zip, and three black buttons up the side.

Trippen Out

(shoo) has new shoes from the German brand Trippen. You'll walk gracefully in these gorgeous shoes while your admires trip over how fabulous you look!

The first shoe, Gentle, is a black leather mary-jane that gently hugs your feet. The shoe has the standard cross-style Trippen rubber wedge platform.

Next is Imperial, a modern take on the riding boot. It's all in the details with this shoe as its leather straps wind their way around the body of the boot. We think these are the perfect combination of sci-fi and practicality; making it great for riding a unicorn or battling the cold winter weather.

The (Shoo) Family Jewels

Bree produces her line, Rosefly out of Milwaukee. With the recent surge of the DIY (Do It Yourself) movement, (shoo) is pleased to say that Rosefly's earrings are made from reclaimed and recycled materials. Check out the various "Card Trick" designs (below), which are made of playing card cutouts with attached jeweled pendants. With a pair of Rosefly earrings you can be all 'decked' out!

Dianne Thomasini, also out of Milwaukee, brings a variety of mixed media necklaces, cuffs, bracelets, and pendants. Her pieces incorporate vintage bezel settings, leather chords, and even depictions of our lady of guadalupe. The brass coloring throughout her collection give it an old world charm.

What's the Mata?

There's nothing the matter with Mata Traders! Mata Traders is a fair trade company based in Chicago that works with craftspeople in India to deliver unique designs. We've seen fair trade practices take off recently and we're happy to see people become conscious of the production and methods behind their clothing. (shoo) Madison is proud to deliver Mata Traders' fabulous and affordable frocks to our customers.

Here's a look at the new items we got in stock this week.

First is a turquiose and teal floral print sweetheart neckline dress. What's fabulous about this aborable dress is the fact that it can transition you into the fall! It's perfect on its own for this month but it can take you through November by wearing a long sleeve tee and tights underneath. Jen has paired this cutie with new Biviel charcoal booties.

Next a versatile jumper style dress. We have this one in two different patterns; it's available in wine and turquoise. Again, this is a real three season dress. You can wear this belted or open for very different looks. Here it's paired with Cydwoq's Forbid.

It's shaping up to be an adorable looking fall with these new shoes from All Black. The new line of fall shoes from the brand features mixed textures, colors, and patterns to keep the shoes interesting and different. The (shoo) Madison girls have teamed the new styles with clothing by Fashion Ninja to show you how to rock the fall's hottest looks.

First up is Fish Tie, a gray fish-scale printed leather bootie with black patent leather toe cap and heel. These sleek and sophisticated shoes are practical for everyday and the nicely balanced heel makes the bootie very comfortable. The shiny patent leather makes this a shoe that can transition from day to night easily.

Hispanitas is a brand of shoes made in Spain. The shoes often have a vintage feel, unique color combinations, and super soft leather. Our latest shipment of fall shoes from this brand has us singing its praises and saying "No Spain, no gain" when it comes to footwear this fall.

The first shoe from Hispanitas is a lovely little lady named Karen. This mary-jane inspired pump has warm brown, black, and red wine colored leather swirling across the toe. The snap closure gives this shoe a more tailored look. It's sure to match any ensemble you put together this fall!

Hey hey people!! (shoo) Madison has recently gotten some great new jewelry pieces from local artists for our showcases!Leda Rawlins is the newest addition to our collection and an artist from Madison. Her pieces are intricate and beautiful and range from being made with materials such as Sworoski crystals to Bohemian Czech glass. Many of her necklaces have hand-made, one-of-a-kind, enamel pendents that are eye stopping.

Laurie Shovers is a Milwaukee artist and all of her jewelry is hand made. Not only does she hand make all of her pieces, she makes all of her own beads too!! Her work has a Southwest feel to it that is fun and funky, just like us at (shoo)!The last of the new additions to the (shoo) family is Teresa Faris. Faris is a Madison resident and her pieces have a simple and clean feel to them. Although they have the clean and fresh feel they are actually very intricate, some of her pieces are inspired by Tibetan prayer scrolls!

Wedges, and stitching, and Summer - Oh My!

Although the combination of these colors are reminiscent of Christmas, there is nothing wintery about our latest arrival of wedge slingbacks from Fly London. Drive (pictured below) is made of red leather and has a continuous stitching detail that runs along the sling back strap, 3 inch heel, and across the instep.

The stitching details continue to the other arrival Prit ( pictured below). This style, which comes in green or yellow leather, has a distinct buckle, and pinched seams across the instep. Altough this 4 inch chunky wedge heel may be a bit intimidating at first the combination of a 1 inch platform, and paded footbed provides the support and comfort needed for all your summer time activities!

The designer uses recycled leather from luxury vehicles, furniture, and leather distributors to create her master pieces of wearable art. Hey Hey shoe and (shoo) lovers!! Every couple of days (shoo) gets in new shipments of shoes. Today was one of those days! Check out this great new shoe we just got in, Nena, by Jeffrey Campbell! This gold gladiator sandal is waiting to be worn on your feet and is perfect for summer! It is stylish and cute-to-boot!

The Nena sandal has a leather foot bed and is adorned with metal beads on top and around the ankle band. This is the first new style to come in by Jeffrey Campbell so come in and check out the new styles as they come in.

(shoo) has something for all ages! Along with our great shoes, clothing, and jewelry that attract the adult crowd, there is still fun for the little ones too! This past Saturday we were greeted with parents coming in with their kids on their way to and from the weekly Madison Farmers Market around the Capitol. While the kids played in the store (shoo) captured it all on camera.

We painted our desk with special paint so it is a chalk board on top. Now our desk is the main attraction for the little ones.

(shoo) is also a place of learning as little Alex tells us about the cool shoes he's wearing.

They made time in their busy schedules of fun for a photo opp with owner, Kate.

And after drawing on the chalk board desk, coloring, and striking fierce poses the kids had a rest and a snack.

People constantly come into our Madison location expecting the store to be identical to the Milwaukee flagship shop. Truth is, the stores do have a lot in common, but they each maintain their individual perks and charm (a lot like the Blake siblings themselves!) The selections and offerings can sometimes vary between the stores but one noticeable difference is that (shoo) Madison carries jewelry by local artists!

One artist whose work we feature is Thom Scott. Thom creates beautiful and intricate sterling silver and copper pieces with a unique machine, or perhaps even robotic, aesthetic.

(shoo) is also proud to carry the exquisite and delicate work of Evansville artist Erin Bowe. Her feminine and understated pieces are the perfect complement to every outfit. We really love her beach stone earrings and bird pendants.
Did you know you can ride your bicycle and wear it too? You can if you shop at (shoo)! Becky Tesch creates fun and playful jewelry made of recycled bicyle parts. Such a great way to go green and look cute at the same time.
We also carry vintage and antique inspired jewelry by Papavier. Her attention to detail and playful approach make her pieces such a delight to wear. We can't help but feel transported back in time (y'know, that time when people hand-wrote letters?) whenever we see her adorable love letter necklace.

(shoo) Madison also carries jewelry made by Jen Simonelli, the shop manager. Under her line, Land and Laboratory, Jennifer creates necklaces and earrings made of new and vintage buttons. Her use of buttons started years ago when she stumbled upon her mother's vintage button jar. Now, years later, she gets her buttons from friends and family all over the world and often has a story to go with each piece.

New Season New Store!!!

With the coming of the new season and a change from the dreary Wisconsin winter to the sunny and light breeze filled days of spring (shoo) is also changing with the opening of our new store in Madison. After taking over the space of what used to be the State Street Gallery in mid March, 2 full and long weeks of painting, stripping, cleaning, and revamping were done in preparation for our April 3rd opening. The opening of this exciting new phase greeted us with a great turn out by Madisonians.

The theme of art has been incorporated into this new store with paintings by local artists on the walls, handcrafted jewelry in our cases, wearable art pieces on our hangers, and of course our funky, fun, and stylish shoes all over.

Designs employ the fewest number of leather pieces possible to minimize stitching, and to improve comfort, quality, and durability. Cydwoq designer Rafi Balouzian creates all of these beautiful shoes by hand in his factory in Burbank, California. Each shoe is made with 100% vegetable-tanned Italian leathers, which get better with every single wear. These shoes are designed with a metal shank inside the all leather foot bed, so the sole actually meshes to the contour of your foot. With each wear, the shoe actually becomes more "yours" because your actual footprint molds into the leather as you wear it. These shoes are get better with age & are seriously comfortable.

The collection consists of funky men's shoes, women's shoes, bags, & belts. (shoo) carries a wide selection of Cydwoq & the stock is always rotating. Arrived today are four new women's styles that will fly off the shelves. Two styles, the Cydwoq Wheel & the Cydwoq Travel are on 2 inch heels, which is the maximum heel height Rafi uses on his shoes. These beauties pictured in the first photo are gorgeous! The Cydwoq Wheel is a beautiful toe thong heeled sandal made from a unique white floral leather. The Cydwoq Travel is a metallic blue leather that is geometric in design & fastens around the heel with a vintage styled button. Both heels are super comfy & look stunning on the foot!

The other 2 styles that arrived today are both flat sandals from Cydwoq. The Cydwoq Copy is a dark brown nu buck leather that has a strap across the toebox, with a built in toe-ring. There is an ankle strap that fastens with a leather tie. This sandal is awesome! Looks fantastic on! The other sandal is the Cydwoq Daisy. This amazing sandal is made with a beautiful tan leather that has blue glitter painted on it. Daisy has a toe ring & ankle strap that attaches with a metal fastener. This is such a cool sandal on! LOVE it!

Miss L-Fire Shoes

Miss L-Fire shoes are seriously the best things since sliced bread! Lindsey Hand is a designer out of London & creates shoes with a Fifties Americana vibe. Her retro styles are so darling, fashionable, & comfortable! This is a new line for (shoo) this spring, & it has been GREAT! I have loved each & every style I have gotten in. The shoe pictured here is called the Miss L-Fire Snow White, which is a black 2 piece wedge style with an acrylic pineapple heel reminiscent of the box purses from the fifties. There is a cute leather pom-pom on the toe-box of the pump, which gives it such a beautiful look. This shoe is only $169! Every time I wear it, I feel like I am truly a pin-up girl - it is SO cute! It is also surprisingly, VERY comfortable! I can wear it all day without any pain, & for a 4 " heel - that's pretty darn good!

The stockings pictured with the Snow White are a new line of hosiery & socks that (shoo) is now carrying called Falke. Falke is a family owned corporation out of Germany that was founded in 1895, & is still run today by the 4th generation. This German based company continually exhibit high quality and elegance in their products. You can trust these products to not just last but to provide you with sleek comfort and style. The hosiery I am wearing, is called the Falke Gardne r, which is sheer on the front on the leg with a thicker opaque panel on the back. They have the appearance of a delicate lace trim running the full length of the leg. I wore these the other day & literally placed orders off my legs. At $59, no one balked - because they are truly sexy, elegant & made a statement! I am getting more of these babies in this week, & have a huge assortment coming in for fall!

The other styles to check out are the Miss L-Fire Racket, which is the cutest wedge slingback peep toe! This shoe is made with a red, white, yellow, & blue retro fabric that will go with any vintage dress. I wear them all the time! They are crazy comfy & super inexpensive at $89 - you cant beat that! The other shoe, which I also own, is called the Miss L-Fire Palm Springs. This sweet shoe is a low wedge in a white, red, light blue & pink polka dot fabric that is also very comfortable & looks great with vintage dresses! & at $79- that is a steal for such cuteness! I love this new line & I am VERY excited for the fall product to come in - which will be here in late July! I LOVE Miss L-Fire!

Molly - The Funky 80%20 Widden Wedge

So, these cool shoes are from 80%20 - a line out of New York, by designer Ce Ce Chin. The concept behind 80%20 came from Chin's observation that we tend to wear our favorite 20% of our wardrobe 80% of the time. Aspiring to be part of the 20% you can’t live without, 80%20 shoes are created with fun-loving fashion and comfort in mind. The spring 09 collection consists of brightly colored canvas, cork wedges, peep toes, cut outs, leather detailing, and Chin’s signature hidden wedge, which is what is pictured here in navy called the Molly. This shoe is so ultra cool, comfortable, & unique. It looks like a flat - but it isn't & that is what I love about it, because I need the lift in height, being only 5'6. So, now I look like I am a tall amazon at 5'8! Thanks Ce Ce!

Prism Fashion Show

(shoo) owners, Kate & Pat Blake before a fashion show benefiting breast cancer at the Milwaukee Domes - Botanical Gardens. Pat actually got to model in this show, as its hard to come by male models in this town. He is a ham - so it was good fun for him!

The Institute of Beauty & Wellness did the hair & make-up for this show. They attached all the shoes that each model wore on their feet, very intricately in their hair. It was VERY cool & amazing to see how you can really take a black dress & make it all about the shoes! United Nude Mobius Tech was used for one model - she had a pair on her feet, & one in her hair - it looked SO cool! The Miss L-Fire Snowwhite was adorned as a crown in one girls hair, as well as her feet. The 80%20 Molly in navy was placed almost like a hat on one model, while she rocked them out with her black leggings & blazer.

This was the best fashion show we ever participated in, thanks to the very creative team at the Institute of Beauty & Wellness!

(shoo) is the definition of footwear: Unusual, hand-crafted, well-made, funky footwear for men & women.

Coming from a background in fashion merchandising, buying, & wholesale, Kate Blake created the cool shoe boutique that is (shoo). Realizing that there was a big need for different, hard to find, funky footwear, Kate decided to open up, in November 2005, literally in her own backyard, Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward. Combining her vast knowledge of the footwear industry, where she worked as a buyer, retailer & wholesaler, with her love of fashion and her own unique sense of style, Kate has brought a much needed shoe boutique to the heart of Milwaukee.

Kate chooses very carefully what lines she brings into the store. "I want to be the only game in town with the brand, preferably the only one in the state." Which is the case on some hard to find footwear lines like Trippen from Berlin, Germany or John Fluevog which is out of Canada. For those two lines (shoo) is the only dealer in Wisconsin. Other lines, like Cydwoq - shoes handmade in the United States, (shoo) is the only store in Milwaukee to boast the beautiful and architecturally inspired line. Other lines, like United Nude, Re-mix, Fornarina, Gordon Rush, Ryan Rowe & Tsubo are what make the shoe experience a unique one. "I buy what is comfortable, funky & different" & that is exactly the formula that goes into each shoe brought in from Spain, Italy, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, Austria, USA or the far East.

In January of 2007, Kate partnered with her younger brother, Pat Blake, who left the business of stock trading to team up & assist with running the shoe boutique. Between the two Blake siblings you can be assured that customer service is first & foremost, while getting the coolest shoes around in a very relaxing & comfortable atmosphere. "We want you to feel like your at home here." Pat states "we want to make this experience friendly, comfortable, & most of all enjoyable."

The hip shoe boutique has an interesting decor of old re-used tables, antiques, & what-nots from the Blake family ancestors, to give it that true homey feel. There are even old framed photographs throughout the store that their mother, Nancy Blake, a photographer, snapped of the two when they were kids. (shoo) has that family shoe store feel, with cool, hip merchandise that makes (shoo) a very unique place to shop.

The boutique is located inside the Katie Gingrass Gallery which is in the trendy Historic Third Ward, where other great boutiques, like Lela & Stephanie Horne compliment their funky footwear.

(shoo) is the definition of what footwear should be. It should be comfortable, funky, & different & be something that expresses who you are. (shoo) allows you to do that - be true to who you are, all the way down to your feet!
